CVCKnights
Mission
The
CVCKnights is a father/son ministry of Cuyahoga Valley Church focused on
raising sons to become godly men & disciples of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through a three-step
approach:
Learning:

Bible Study
·
Program based on the book, Raising a Modern day
Knight by Robert Lewis.
·
Program includes selected chapters from Men’s
Fraternity by Robert Lewis
Service
Projects:
Service
projects for the church, local community & beyond.
Recreation:
Various
recreational events for fathers and sons to enjoy fellowship together.
The
Knights consist of 4th – 12th grade young
men accompanied by their fathers, who are expected to serve in some role of
responsibility within the organization.
CVCKnights
meet
monthly on the 2nd Sunday starting in September and completing the year in May with the Passport 2
Purity weekend.
Meetings
start at 7:30am and meet in Lower Level Room 104/106.

Page (1st year member; 4th -
8th grade)

Memorize Principles of Authentic Manhood &
Characteristics of a Knight with Bible verses.
·
Write about two characteristics and match Bible
heroes that emulate those characteristics.
Ceremony:
·
Presented with gift from father.
·
Affirmed by other members of Knights.
Squire
(9th
- 11th grade)
·
Read the book Pure Excitement by Joe White.
·
Write a personal constitution (based on model from
the book).
·
Choose a Knight father to discuss above material and
review constitution.
·
Complete activities at the Passport 2 Purity
weekend.
Ceremony:
·
“Ceremony of Torches”
·
Presented with gift from father.
·
Affirmed by other members of Knights.
